To ensure your garments has a long life it is recommended that you follow the steps below. Fabric is precious, we’ve put together a few guidelines to help you care for your new purchase.

Choosing quality garments is the best start, but even they need love and care to endure.

Lou Mulier Loungewear

Being thoughtful about the ways you wash and dry clothing is an easy step towards more sustainable living. Always read the care label and try not to wash garments more than is necessary. Always wash your garments at the lowest temperature possible.

Our Loungewear are crafted in a rib modal fabric. Machine wash max 30 degrees with like colors, non-chlorine bleach, lay flat to dry, low iron as needed.

Always hand wash your swimsuit after every use. Hand wash with a mild organic detergent in cold water immediately making sure all chlorine, salt and sand is cleansed from the fabric. The saltwater or chlorine breaks down the fibers and the elastic. Your swimwear will last much longer.

To protect both you, your garments and the environment, choose eco-friendly laundry products and avoid bleach and softeners with the benefit of being free from harmful chemicals and toxins.

When your bikini or swimwear has been washed, do not wring it out. This can damage the fibers and the elasticity of the fabric.

Lay flat in the shade to drip dry. Do not leave your swimwear rolled up wet or in direct sunlight as this may cause the colour to fade and damage the fabric.

Take care when using sunscreen lotions as they may contain chemicals, fake tans and tanning oils as they may stain or damage your swimwear. Choose the organic option for your sunscreen.

Do not wash your swimwear in a washing machine or dry it in a tumble dryer.
